Job Description

Do you want to be a key part of a team focused on increasing the reach of strategy consulting across sectors in the worldwide BFSI industry, with a focus on Financial Services? Do you have the industry background, technical depth, and communication skills needed to help further establish our client as the leader in the industry?

Your responsibilities will include

Serve as a key member of the global Industry Business Development team to drive overall market and consulting strategy for the BFSI industry across commercial and public sectors.

Define and execute on a strategic market development plan aligned with our strategic direction, in partnership with key internal stakeholders (sales teams, service teams, partner development teams, legal, support, etc.).

Define and size segments, identify and engage key customers, and identify and engage key partners to build business development pipeline.

Understand the technical requirements of our customers and work closely with the internal development teams to guide the direction of our product offerings.

Present business reviews to the senior management team regarding progress and roadblocks to expanding our reach in the industry.

Develop reusable business development programs to respond to the high volume of engagements in the fast pace of the consulting market.

Responsibilities Include

  • leading the process to identify industry solutions, and creating significant new business opportunities for our client.
  • You will enable my client sales teams to drive their day-to-day interactions with key prospects.
  • You will work closely with my client\\\'s services delivery team to develop and promote solutions for the industry.


Ideal Candidate & Qualifications

  • The ideal candidate will have a business or consulting background, with experience working with Banking, Financial Services and Insurance customers, enabling them to drive engagement and interactions at the CxO/VP level, as well as a good understanding of Strategy Consulting business.
  • He/she should have a demonstrated ability to think strategically and analytically about business, services, and challenges, with the ability to build and convey compelling value propositions, and work cross-organizationally to build consensus. A keen sense of ownership and drive is a must.
  • 10-15 years of business development, consulting, delivery management, or solutions development experience in or selling to the commercial or public sector BFSI industry.
  • Strong leadership skills are key, with proven verbal and written communications skills with demonstrated ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations, and lead through influence.
  • The right person will be analytical and data-driven, and demonstrate balanced strategy and planning, and execution skills.
  • Relevant domain knowledge of Strategy Consulting landscape in the BFSI industry with ability to go deep enough on relevant technologies key to the industry.
  • Working knowledge of strategic insights development practices, Analytics and emerging paradigms like IoT, Machine Learning, etc. is highly desired.
  • Education: an MBA is desired

Preferred Qualifications

  • 18+ years of relevant work experience in a similar role
  • Experience in selling and/or delivering Consulting business and/or Big Data/Analytics solutions in the BFSI industry
  • CxO relationships and large network in the industry.
